The Christmas lights at Temple Square are a tradition for many Utahns, and through December families can browse through nativity scenes and thousands of colorful lights at this downtown Salt Lake City landmark. There’s no cost to see the lights here, and the display will be welcoming visitors through the year’s end.

See the lights and animals all in once place! Zoo Lights starts in the evenings, and kids will love seeing Santa Claus and his reindeer stop by for a visit. Closed Christmas Day.

The light display here is reminiscent of years’ past, as this outdoor Village presents many old-fashioned Christmas traditions such as a live Nativity, reindeer and carolers. Dress warmly, as Candlelight Christmas is an outdoor venue.

40,000+ lights set and synchronized to holiday music. When you’re nearby the display, tune your car’s radio to 99.9 FM, and listen to the tunes as your stay warm and dry.

Dicken’s Christmas Festival at South Towne Exposition Center
This display includes characters patrolling the streets in Dickensian costumes. Dickens’ Christmas Festival has light displays, trees and quaint shops and booths to browse.

Located in downtown Salt Lake City, The Gateway Mall showcases a 50-foot tall Christmas tree at the Olympic Legacy Plaza, and the Christmas lights are animated and choreographed.

This historic-themed town in West Jordan has an old time look, complete with brick paths, elf statues and shops. Stop at Archibald’s restaurant inside Gardner Village to warm up after gazing at the beautiful lights.

Here’s a decades-old Christmas tradition along Royalwood Drive in Salt Lake City, where neighbors will arrange their decorations with stories written on placards. This is a busy display, so many people enjoy walking to see the lights instead.

The road leading to Winder Farms in West Valley City is decorated with lights each year after Thanksgiving. Visitors can snack on scones and hot chocolate as they make their way up the road to the dairy.
